Niagara Falls

DAY 7
Woke up bright and early and went and had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast .. How American lol . Checked out of the hotel and hopped on the bus and headed for Niagara falls. On the welcome to niagara falls sign it said the population is 72,000 .. This place was sooo not what I expected.. It kinda looks like Coney Island lol.. There is a giant fares wheel, glow in the dark golf, haunted houses, mazes, play lands and some many other novelty places!!

Our first tour was the maid of the mist which was a boat ride at the bottom of the falls which went right up to the falls... I thought I would be hardcore and not wear the raincoat provided lol ... Big mistake I pretty much drowned from the mist coming of the falls!! It felt like the boat was going to be sucked under the falls.. The only knowledge I got from this tour was that the falls generates 29.6 horsepower per second ... And to wear the raincoat!!!!

The next tour was the behind the falls tour.. Again we were given a raincoat, but this time we put it on... Mind you we didn't really need it, I guess it was incase you slipped in the water. This tour was kinda lame as it was just a big tunnel under the falls and you didn't really get to see much. There were lots of plaques with interesting facts though.. Only 10% of the water flows over the USA falls .. Poor USA! Only one person has ever unintentionally gone over the falls and survived and that was a boy named Roger Woodward and he was 7 years old..he was swept from a boat with a life jacket on..interesting huh!!

We then went to the 4D show The fury... This was really cool! We again opted to wear the raincoat... Third time lucky:) lol.. This was a 4D experience of the Niagara fall where we experienced a blizzard, falls erosion, and a storm.... Wow! after this we went to the chocolate shop and got chocolate coated marshmallows on a stick .. They were sooooooooooo good!

After all these tours we went back to the hotel and got read for dinner.. We still had 4 hours to kill before dinner so we decided to do some of the actitivies in the street we started with a haunted house which was lame...so didn't compare to new York! Next we went to the maze and had to clock our start time in then reach each tower stamp our card then get out as quick as you could.. We dwaddled around and rang the gong ect completed our card then clocked out and still had the fastest time for the day... 6 minutes.. Go figure! All that maze practice in new Zealand lol.. On our way back down the street we found another haunted house we had 3 level tame, intense and hardcore... Us being hardcore decided to give it a go... It started out ok .. Thought we had it Under control but then the walls started talking and calling our names and touching us in the dark.... Think we managed to punch one of them in the face with our flailing arms lol... Sooooooooooo funny!! Sorry haunted house man lol. Think he scored a lip gloss!

Thought we would tame it down and go for a stroll through the park.. Took lots of photos of the beautiful gardens :) and us eating the flowers lol. There was a massive rose garden with about 20 different colored roses. Next stop the pub which had cranky barmaid but the sweet potato chips were good.. After leaving the pub we went in the casino for a looked around..it was HUGE.. Got a photo taken next to a giant poker machine lol .. We got lost and couldn't. Off to the tiki bar after that, this place was pretty cool it was on the roof top of a restaurant and the staff were really nice. Had a few cocktails one was called why don't we get drunk and ...... Lol.

After a few cocktails we headed to dinner in the revolving restaurant which had spectacular views of the falls but the food was shit! Got to see the fireworks over the falls and the falls where lit up like a rainbow ... Got lots of pics.. Did a lot of walking today but it was worth it :)
