DAY 13
Hopped on the bus to San Diego today :) took an hour and a half to get there .. The hotel in San Diego was pretty cool it had a glass elevator so you could see over the wharf to the city.
Caught the trolley ... Which is like a tram to fashion valley.. Had to put the exacy change in the machine to get a ticket which proved a mission considering we still don't know the coin currency lmao.. Headed in the wrong direction on the trolley first only that some stranger heard us talking about fashion valley and told us we were going in the wrong direction ... Would have ended up in tiajuana lol..
Fashion valley is huge :) spent 6 hours shopping and managed to buy shoes, shoes, a bra from Victoria secrets :), make up and more..
Caught the trolley back tooth hotel ordered room service :)

The happiest place on earth
DAY 12
Love early mornings!! Woke up at 7:00 and got ready to go to... The happiest place on earth lol.. Missed the shuttle bus so caught a limo in stead :) .. Got to watch Michael Jackson DVD on the way to Disneyland in he limo :) .. Ok so we have one day to do as much of Disneyland and California world as we can.. Started in Disneyland and went on our first ride .. Star trek .. Yeah not a great first impression Disneyland lol. Left Disneyland and decided to do California world first as we had to reserve a place in the water colour show.. After standing in a line for an hour we had a place booked..
Time for some rides
1. Space shuttle ride .. Lame
2. Mickey mouse fares wheel .. Great views of Disneyland
3. Soarin..
4. Roller coaster - this was only a little one.. A warm up for the screamin lol
5. Screaming rollercoaster- favorite ride of the day :) would have gone again only the line was an hour
We got our photos with Mickey, buzz - I love buzz:) . The queen and lots of other characters.
Shows.
There are so many shows and parades to see that we didn't get a chance to see them all but we did manage to see:
1. Toy story green men show
2. Disney celebration parade- all the Disney characters sing and dance in a parade
3. Water colour show- this show was AMAZING!!! This was in California world and easily the best show from the two parks ... To describe this show would not do it justice .. You will just have to go and see :)
4. Glowfest show- This is like a glow world were everything glows .. People, building, EVERYTHING.. Kind of like a rave party lol.
At the end of the day I got a caricature drawing of me with my Mickey ear on :) ..
When we returned to Disney land we went on the water ride ... Which a long line up and our favorite the tea cups :)
I brought a ton of souvenirs.. Think I managed something for everyone :)
We left the back at 10:30 and went to a rainforest themed restaurant near Disneyland ... Funniest thing ever lol ... We felt like we were actually in the jungle ... Sitting amongst the vines with elephants stampedes, lightning and other sound and lighting effects.
Caught the bus back to the hotel and that was the end of us. .. 15 hours was a good effort I thought.. We only sat down once to have lunch :)

DAY 11
Wooow this morning I was feeling pretty ordinary!! Packed our bags again.... Have a little more room for shopping now :).. Walked the six blocks to the sky train and stopped for breakfast on the way.. Arrived at the airport 4 hours early to check in and go through customs.. Surprised they let me through lol! Sat in the airport for 3 hours waiting for the plane Which we boarded at 1:00pm. Fell asleep on the plane before take off lol and woke up 15 minutes later :( Felt like the LONGEST FLIGHT EVER considering it was only a 3 hour flight. Talked to the guy sitting opposite about his fishing trip in kitimat.
Caught a shuttle bus to the hotel in Aneheim ( reception guy at the hotel looked like Jacob from twilight lol... Or maybe that was the alcohol still lmao) Had dinner and went to sleep ... Ready for my big day at Disneyland tomorrow :)

Dirty hookers
DAY 10
Ok so today we went on a day tour to grouse mountain and capilanos .. Our tour guided was an American Indian named chuck-us-hoot translated-standing proud or... In english Jeff watts lol. Travelling through the city we learnt that BC- British Columbia means "bring cash" lol, the population of BC is 4 million and 2 million of those are in Vancouver. Vancouver city itself is a working city not a residential city. First stop was the salmon hatchery which was really interesting, there are 5 different species of salmon and each species go to different rivers.. On the way back to the bus we got in touch with our wild side lol and picked thumble berries, huckleberries and salmon berries from the trees and ate them lol.. We also learnt which leaves are good for toilet paper and skunk cabbage is good for baking lol .. Just incase I get lost in the wilderness! Lol
Next we headed to capilanos where we crossed the suspension bridge which is 450 feet long and did a tree top walk .. The views were amazing from the suspicion bridge!! Grouse mountain was out next stop.. We had the best view out of the gondola thanks to our tour guide it went up 37000 feet above sea level and the views were incredible!!! At the top we went to the lumberjack show .. Mmmm how much wood can a wood chopper chop ?? Lol definitely a highlight ! The bird show was pretty good too the owl and the bald eagle were beautiful.. Back down the gondola we went and back to the hotel.
Once we got back to the hotel we got dressed to have dinner and hit the town :) we went to the restaurant down stairs for dinner and ordered the wild salmon ( after today's educating we at least knew what to order lol) $ 4.50 super sized cocktails is where it all started.. Then it was off to town we went .. Started off at the nightclub tonic .. A few shots and vodka and red bulls and it was time to move on lol.. Next stop caprice, the drinks were good but the music was lame so we decided to head back to tonic... The shots we were ordering were a kinda "we'll have what he's having" lol .. After a fair few more shots the bar man informed us that the shots were called dirty hookers... Nice huh!! Haha realized that Canadians really need to work on there pick up line lmao ... Got invited to the VIP section by the Aussie DJ lol funny stuff..
Headed home at around 2:30 as we had to be at the Airport at 9:00 for our flight to LA .. That's going to be interesting

Wind in our hair in Stanley park
DAY 9
So today thought we would slow the pass down by going for a lovely bike ride in stanely park .. Woke up around 8:00 and hunted down a post office so we could send some stuff home ( bags overflowing already and we have only been here 9 days). Walked from one end of Vancouver to the other and did some shopping.. Brought a new dress and some awesome hot pink heel :) .. Hired bikes and rode all the way around Stanley park.
There was soo much to see in the park - aquarium, totem poles, beaches ( clothing optional lol), pools and heaps more . After the bike ride we did some more shopping then headed back to the hotel for another relaxing night! ( saving ourselves for tomorrow night)

Onward to Vancouver
DAY 8
So today we headed to Vancouver..First stop Applebys for breakfast.. We are slowly learning to share the meals cuz there is just way to much food for one person. Next it was an hour an a half bus ride to the airport ( this gave us time to catch up on our blogging :) ). . The flight was good from Toronto to Vancouver but once we got to the airport we had to catch the sky train and walk 7 blocks dragging our oversized luggage lol.. Definately willbe sending some stuff home before we leave for LA.
Arrived in Vancouver at around 6:30 ordered room service which surprisingly enough the food was really good :) ordered a movie the bounty hunter ... Managed to watch 20 minutes of the movie and we were sound asleep..
Sorry this update wasn't very exciting lol surely there was enough yesturday to keep you busy reading lol..

Niagara Falls
DAY 7
Woke up bright and early and went and had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast .. How American lol . Checked out of the hotel and hopped on the bus and headed for Niagara falls. On the welcome to niagara falls sign it said the population is 72,000 .. This place was sooo not what I expected.. It kinda looks like Coney Island lol.. There is a giant fares wheel, glow in the dark golf, haunted houses, mazes, play lands and some many other novelty places!!
Our first tour was the maid of the mist which was a boat ride at the bottom of the falls which went right up to the falls... I thought I would be hardcore and not wear the raincoat provided lol ... Big mistake I pretty much drowned from the mist coming of the falls!! It felt like the boat was going to be sucked under the falls.. The only knowledge I got from this tour was that the falls generates 29.6 horsepower per second ... And to wear the raincoat!!!!
The next tour was the behind the falls tour.. Again we were given a raincoat, but this time we put it on... Mind you we didn't really need it, I guess it was incase you slipped in the water. This tour was kinda lame as it was just a big tunnel under the falls and you didn't really get to see much. There were lots of plaques with interesting facts though.. Only 10% of the water flows over the USA falls .. Poor USA! Only one person has ever unintentionally gone over the falls and survived and that was a boy named Roger Woodward and he was 7 years old..he was swept from a boat with a life jacket on..interesting huh!!
We then went to the 4D show The fury... This was really cool! We again opted to wear the raincoat... Third time lucky:) lol.. This was a 4D experience of the Niagara fall where we experienced a blizzard, falls erosion, and a storm.... Wow! after this we went to the chocolate shop and got chocolate coated marshmallows on a stick .. They were sooooooooooo good!
After all these tours we went back to the hotel and got read for dinner.. We still had 4 hours to kill before dinner so we decided to do some of the actitivies in the street we started with a haunted house which was lame...so didn't compare to new York! Next we went to the maze and had to clock our start time in then reach each tower stamp our card then get out as quick as you could.. We dwaddled around and rang the gong ect completed our card then clocked out and still had the fastest time for the day... 6 minutes.. Go figure! All that maze practice in new Zealand lol.. On our way back down the street we found another haunted house we had 3 level tame, intense and hardcore... Us being hardcore decided to give it a go... It started out ok .. Thought we had it Under control but then the walls started talking and calling our names and touching us in the dark.... Think we managed to punch one of them in the face with our flailing arms lol... Sooooooooooo funny!! Sorry haunted house man lol. Think he scored a lip gloss!
Thought we would tame it down and go for a stroll through the park.. Took lots of photos of the beautiful gardens :) and us eating the flowers lol. There was a massive rose garden with about 20 different colored roses. Next stop the pub which had cranky barmaid but the sweet potato chips were good.. After leaving the pub we went in the casino for a looked around..it was HUGE.. Got a photo taken next to a giant poker machine lol .. We got lost and couldn't. Off to the tiki bar after that, this place was pretty cool it was on the roof top of a restaurant and the staff were really nice. Had a few cocktails one was called why don't we get drunk and ...... Lol.
After a few cocktails we headed to dinner in the revolving restaurant which had spectacular views of the falls but the food was shit! Got to see the fireworks over the falls and the falls where lit up like a rainbow ... Got lots of pics.. Did a lot of walking today but it was worth it :)

Toronto Canada
DAY 6
Before I begin the days adventures I would just like to point something out... In America they have what is called gratuity which is tipping and at the bottom of the reciept it tells you the recommend percentage and majority of the time it is between 15% and 20% which is huge ... Man they make a shit load on tips! Oh and everything you buy you have to add the tax . For example if it is $2 .00 then it would actually cost $2.35 weird huh!
Ok so today we went on a guided tour of the city and learnt a little bit of history about Toronto .. If you would call it history as everything is relatively new lol! It is nothing like purr Toronto lol. Saw the CN tower which at one point was the tallest free standing tower in the world, the longest street in the world is located in Toronto and is called Yonge street, ummm what else can I remember?? Oh the man who developed the time zones came from a university in Toronto.. Can't remember his name lol. The population was like 2 and a half million. The university was awesome, it looked like Hogwarts from Harry Potter :).
After the tour we went to the Eaton Centre which is a massive shopping centre... I think I counted in total 15 shoe shops!! I think we managed to cover them all :) Everything was reasonably priced except for the big brands like coach, guess ect... After 4 hours of shopping we went back to the hotel for a nap. We woke up at about 7:30 and it was a struggle to get up. Went back to the hard rock cafe and had dinner again :) after dinner we headed to the movies to see eclipse .. We could find a gold class cinema when searching online so we settled for an IMAX cinema but after we brought our tickets we realized they had one it was just called the VIP lounge! OMG Jacob on a screen that big was just criminal lol! Loved the movie, can't wait for the next one :) favorite scene was my favorite chapter in the book .... In the tent, poor Edward lol... Great way to end the day :) missing home lots but keeping myself busy and wearing my self out xx Luv yas

Start spreadin the news .... I'm leavin today :)
DAY 5
9th of July was our last day in new York :( woke up really early to fit as much in as we could. First we had breakfast at applebees ... I had French toast which cinnamon and berries mmmmm .. Then we wet to forever 21 and did some more shopping.. Next it was of to Madame tussaudes wax museum ... Not that place was cool.. Got my photo taken with a bunch of celebrities and important people ( and not so important lol) went through the house of scream which is like a haunted house but your have to navigate in darkness and things jump out at you ( all most wet myself with laughter pmsl)..
Finally we went back to the hotel packed our bags ( got waru's souvenir lol) then hopped on a shuttle bus to la Guadia airport to board our plane to Toronto Canada :) ..... Look our Canada here we come...
After an hour an a half flight we arrived in Toronto at 6:00pm and hopped on the shuttle bus to our hotel .. The bond hotel. The room was kinda small compared to the room in new York and we only had single beds this time :( lol. After sorting through our luggage and deciding what we need to post home .... ( all jumpers) we went and had dinner at the hard rock cafe which was on the next block. The food and service there was the best we have had since we have been here :) I had grilled salmon and it was really good! After dinner did a short walking tour of the main strip, now this was interesting ... The were lots of street entertainers playing plastic buckets, doing cards tricks, dancing on a lino mat lol and heaps of others ( who knows they could be the next Justin beibers lol) they had an outdoor screen in the middle of the city with chairs and everyone was sitting around watching ghostbusters lol! What a way to spend a Friday night. Had an early night cuz lots of walking ahead...

I love gossip girl!
DAY 4
Ok so on the 8th of july went and had breakfast at a cute little diner down the street and tried the jelly on toast.. Weird lol! Then went on the movie tour which took us around the city and showed were all the movies and tv shows were filmed like ghostbusters, spiderman, sleepless in Seattle ( how ironic), I am legend, hitch, friends, seinfield, the Crosby show and ..... Wait for......... GOSSIP GIRL OMFG! Got to see the palace :) and eat black and white cookies like the ones out of seinfield ( racial cookies lol). After this we had free time so we managed to navigate our way to the century 21 shopping centre via the subway :) go us!!
What a maze of clothes racks ... So much stuff! There were so many brands from Armani to prada :) and every thing was cheap! Managed to get my self so Ed Harry clothing. After the shopping expedition we headed to the subway to get back to the hotel in time for the farewell meeting for the tour and almost ended up in the Bronx lol (for real) lucky we look like tourists and someone pointed in the right direction .. Go through the cheese maze was the term he used lol.
At the hotel everyone from the tour met up and collected our group photo and swapped contacts :) the tour was awesome , made heaps of friends from all over the place ... Mostly Australia lmao.. That night we went to wicked and almost fell asleep during the show ( not that it was boring we were just sooooooooooo exhausted). The walk back to the hotel after the show was a long walk climbing over all of the garbage lol.

Central park and the mets
DAY 3
7th of July was so busy, but it was the best day ever minus the sex in the city tour (boring) .. Went for a guided bike ride around central park , which was a 4 mile (about 10 km) ride..central park was soo beautiful and our tour guide was hilarious.. What i learnt - two brothers by the name of olmsted and vaux won the architect design competition and central park was first opened in 1857.The land was brought for $5 million dollars .. Not much huh! The park is 843 acres which is about 6% of manhattan.

Contiki begins
DAY 2
Contiki tour started 6th July..met everyone on our tour and hopped on the bus and went on a tour of the city ( here's a fact only 40 % of people in new York own a car , there are a bizillion taxis). Saw where Madonna, John Lennon,Kate Hudson, Leonardo dicaprio, and heaps more movie stars own apartments. Went to the statue to see the statue of liberty which was really cool.. Almost died in the heat as it was 105 degrees farenheit.. The tar was melting on the road. Had dinner in times sqaure and then went to a karaoke

New York... New York !!!
Wow... It has been a long 4 days! Finally got Internet for my iPad ..woohoo!
DAY 1
So Arrived in LAX at 5:30 after a 13 hour flight, then had to stand in line for customs for an hour :( after a 5 hour wait in the domestic terminal at LAX airport ( which is a shit hole lol) got on a plane and another 5 hours to new York ... Arrived at 7:00 am on 5th of July.
Only slept about an hour during all that flying and was to excited to sleep so went shopping :) .. Shopping in new York is awesome as long as you don't get lost ! Went to the glass apple store, Tiffany & co , m&m shop, forever 21 and so many other shops that I lost track. After about 7 hours of shopping and looking around time square ( think I wore down a pair of thongs from all the walking) we went back to the hotel and slept for about 3 hours.
When we woke up we went to time square for dinner. The piece of pizza we ordered was giant lol.. Time square was amazing by night so many people and things to look at. We went to a stand up comedy show in an under ground bar .. It was just like in the movies . Sooo funny ! Most of the acts were from the schapelle show.
